How 2019-08-03 This function has been tested with REFPROP versions 9.1, 9.1.1, and 10. Install CoolProp as described by the CoolProp development team (http://www.coolprop.org/coolprop/wrappers/MATLAB/). CoolProp version 6.2 uses a Python wrapper and requires that you install Python prior to use. CoolProp integration in MATLAB.

NIST REFPROP is FORTRAN code compiled into a DLL (dynamically linked library). Precompiled DLL (dynamically linked library) are available on windows (REFPROP.DLL for 32-bit applications, and REFPRP64.DLL for 64-bit applications). This function has been tested with REFPROP versions 9.1, 9.1.1, and 10.

It works with the same function calls as REFPROP in MATLAB and it gives you the full functionality in terms of the fluids and mixtures available. I definitely prefer it over REFPROP these days. The only caveat to this that the MATLAB interface is simply a Python wrapper.
